PEDIATRIC PATHOLOGIST
The Department of Pathology at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), is seeking a full-time pediatric pathologist with a particular interest in gastrointestinal pathology (strongly preferred), dermatopathology, or renal pathology. Required qualifications include board certification in anatomic pathology and fellowship training or prior clinical practice in pediatric pathology. Board certification or Board-eligibility in pediatric pathology is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate should be devoted to excellence in clinical service, scholarship, education and multidisciplinary collaboration. Candidates may be appointed to an academic rank at Harvard Medical School at the Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level, commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will join a highly collegial and collaborative group of anatomic pathologists and physician-scientists who are nationally and internationally recognized leaders in pediatric pathology subspecialties. The department accessions approximately 12,500 surgical pathology specimens annually, including ~5,500 gastrointestinal biopsies, ~200 solid tumors, ~750 consultation cases, and 20-30 autopsies. The department maintains robust multidisciplinary engagement with active participation in tumor boards and conferences across medical and surgical specialties.
